Why is this blog suddenly in German?
This blog started in English and this is how I introduced myself. The language was chosen to reach all my non-German friends near and far, as I only moved back to Germany in 2008. Well, things change – my diary style blog is transforming into an information site and due to the fact that most of my followers are German, I started a German podcast, I live in Germany and describe the German system, there was a point, where it made more sense to continue in German. Nevertheless – the blog until May 2019 remains in English and there is a translation button you can click at any stage. I hope this does not scare you off – thanks for visiting my page!
Why do I want to write a Blog?
I shall give some insights into my life with and hopefully soon without breastcancer. I hope to inspire people and increase breast cancer awareness! Apparently every seventh woman has breast cancer, but it is still taboo to a certain extend….It is the best curable cancer there is and when I started my journey, I said that if I had the choice, I would have chosen this one… I no longer say it, as I have seen it all and not every story has a happy end – luckily I caught it early enough, so make sure you check yourself!!
I try to give a clear picture as to what is happening with me, my life and my cancer – I don’t blog about all areas of my life yet, but what I show and tell is with no filters and 100% honest. I use social media and a podcast to spread the word and during my journey I tried to concentrate on the positive!
